What an unbelievable year here at Rolling Hills in 2009!  All glory to our great God! There are so many highlights, it is hard to know where to begin. We’ve witnessed lives transformed for Christ – praise God for all the people who were baptized into Christ this year – the most ever here at Rolling Hills! These incredible people publicly professed their faith in Christ before family, friends and their church family!  In addition, we’ve seen more than 100 people join in what God is doing here at Rolling Hills by becoming partners of God’s church! God continues to bring such gifted and spiritually mature people to join in His work at His church. Add to these commitments those who were married this year as well as all the new babies born, and you understand we are all truly a part of something very special!

Speaking of changed lives, I praise God for the 100+ orphans in Moldova and South Africa now being sponsored by people at Rolling Hills. This is phenomenal as we have the opportunity to directly provide for these precious children. In addition, our Transitional Living Home in Moldova is flourishing.  With eight girls now living in the “Grace House,” you can see lives changing right before our eyes.  Even as we close the year, we have a mission team in Moldova serving in three different orphanages along with our Grace House girls, and we have a mission team preparing to go to South Africa.  Not only are we serving overseas, but right here in our own community.  With our first Habitat build as well as Saturday Serve days, we are seeing lives impacted in our neighborhoods. It is amazing to be a part of a young church, through the leading of God, making a difference in lives throughout the world.

And we have a new home! A year ago for our Christmas Eve service, we were sitting in this empty warehouse with no heat, a few lights, facing a blank corner.  However, that night we were able to write on the walls prayers of dedication and gratitude to God, and wow, did He ever bless!  This year’s Christmas Eve service was packed!  Full of people, full of love and full of the presence of the One who is the Giver of all good gifts! God has blessed us with a beautiful new home with an amazing children’s area, student space, worship center and so much more. We are truly a blessed people, and the hand of God is upon His church!

What is so exciting is this is just the beginning!  It has been an unbelievable year, but our God is just getting started. I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in 2010 and beyond. God has blessed us with a home base, an incredible Staff Team, and a sold-out congregation for the global glory of our great God! What a blessing to be a part of His story with you! Keep praying, giving, serving and investing! The best is yet to come!
