Presently we are on an amazing journey here at Rolling Hills as we walk through Jesus’ teaching in the first part of His famous Sermon on the Mount known as the Beatitudes. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus draws people back to the inward spirituality since the law had degenerated into mere external observances. Jesus begins His earthly teaching ministry with these eight key phrases, “Blessed are…” The word “blessed” in the Greek means “Happy.”  In this, Jesus is essentially saying here are the eight keys to earthly fulfillment – happiness.  If you have missed either of the first two sermons in this series, I encourage you to go watch or listen to the podcast here on our website.  It is amazing what God is doing in people’s life through His Word and through His church!  Life-change!  Also, I encourage you not to miss this week as we explore Jesus’ third Beatitude, “Blessed are the meek…”  Overall, there is a subtle, but powerful, progression in these Beatitudes, and I hope you digest this insight as our series unfolds.  Let’s dig deep into Jesus’ Word to us, and let’s begin living a life of fulfillment today!
