At Rolling Hills our vision has always been, “A People of God, Reaching Out, Growing Up and Giving All.” The past two days we’ve put that vision into action as we sent team after team into our flood damaged community.

While our tasks included moving furniture, pulling up floors, taking down drywall and handing out supplies, the value of our presence was most felt in the conversations. The families we’ve had the pleasure of working with the past two days have been so loving and appreciative, but when the day is done, it is us – the volunteers – who feel like we’ve been blessed.

If you’ve not taken an opportunity to love on and serve those who are hurting, we encourage you to do so. As these families move forward in the rebuilding process, their needs change daily and we would love to have a database of volunteers with a variety of skill sets who are available to serve. Please contact Lisa Rollins with your name, cell phone number, day and time (morning / afternoon / evening) if you are available in the next two weeks.

As always, the supplies we take with us into these areas are always needed and appreciated. Please take a moment to review our supply list and bring these items by the church office any time between 8am and 5pm. If you would like to give online to our relief fund, you can do so on our giving page. (Make sure to choose the “Help our Flood Relief Efforts” tab from the “purpose” drop down.)
