A look at the Jewish people of Isaiah’s day paints an all-too-familiar picture of our sinful nature, even today: we live in our own personal exile, far from home, far from God. But God’s deepest desire is to deliver His children from this captivity to liberty, our very own road to freedom in Christ. All who believe travel this same journey: from exile to exodus. This Sunday at Rolling Hills, we’ll be talking about the road from imprisonment to freedom and learn how Isaiah’s words echo so hauntingly and authentically to followers of Jesus and beckon those who are a long way away from God, now even thousands of years later.
