It is so exciting to hear what God is doing in and through us, His people, during our “Pay It Forward” series here at Rolling Hills.  This past Sunday Morning was especially amazing as we studied the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25), and we closed the service by everyone receiving $1, $2, or $5 to go and “Pay It Forward.”  As God has entrusted this money to us, we have two weeks to invest it.  The stories people are e-mailing back have been great!
  • A person buying a song off iTunes and sending it with a note to a friend
  • Another person adding some money to it and sponsoring an orphan in Moldova
  • Someone taking a meal to someone who recently had a baby
  • Another person sending the money to an organization that helps build wells in Africa
  • Someone else shared about writing a note of forgiveness and redemption to their own parent (they expressed how freeing the experience of writing the note was for them and said they used $.44 for the stamp so they were still praying about what to do with the $.56 they had left).
 
Incredible stories and we still have time!  If you have not yet invested your $1, $2, or $5, then continue to pray and do this by Sunday, August 29.  E-mail me and let me know what you do with what has been given to you.  If you were not here on Sunday, then take a $1, $2 or $5 and “Pay It Forward.”  We are bringing it all back to God on Sunday, August 29.  And, remember, this exercise is to help us realize that it is all His!  Give, save and live!  Let’s re-order all the finances God has entrusted to us for His Name and His glory!  “Give,” the first 10%, “Save,” the next 10% and “Live” on the rest – wow, what a difference God will make in our lives as we trust Him as our Heavenly Father!
