Summertime at Rolling Hills ...
Yes, it is summertime at Rolling Hills! What a great time of the year for worship and ministry as well as for growing deeper in our faith journey with God. This summer, there are great opportunities for everyone! Our Sunday morning worship times will focus on God's Word, and specifically on a man named Joshua – a follower of God with unwavering commitment. In this study, we will see powerful life lessons for how we are to live in our relationship with God today. If you are a leader, this study will be especially important for you. You don't want to miss a single Sunday morning! If you are out of town, be sure to follow along through the live stream or keep up through the podcast.
The summer is also a great time to plug into a Small Group. If you are not yet in a group, check out some of the great options here on our Web site. Many of our Small Groups will meet for just June and July, then take a break in August to regroup. An eight-week commitment is perfect to dig into God's Word and establish some new friendships as well.
Along with worship and Bible study, there are many amazing opportunities to serve in our community and throughout the world. From continued disaster relief work in Alabama to ongoing work right here in Middle Tennessee, there is a place for you to serve (for more information on local or national missions, contact Jason Hale, our Local Missions Minister). In July, we have multiple mission teams headed to Moldova. Moldova is the smallest and poorest country in the former Soviet Union. In this country, we work with precious orphan children, and we see God work in incredible ways. Later in the year, we will send mission teams to Haiti and Brazil. (Visit www.justiceandmercy.org to learn more.)
Finally, there are amazing opportunities for children and students this summer as well.
* M-Fuge Camp for students who have completed grades 7-12 (June 13-17) – To sign up, contact Chase Baker, Student Pastor.
* CentriKid Camp for kids who have completed grades 3-5 (June 13-17) – To sign up, contact Nic Allen, Family and Children's Pastor.
* Vacation Bible School for kids ages 4 through 5th grade (July 19-22) – To sign up, contact Nic Allen.
Friends, God is at work! Let's make the most of this summer for spiritual growth and development. Let's continue to "reach out, grow up, give all" for the glory of God, our Father! It's summertime!
In Christ,
Jeff Simmons, Pastor
