Sunday Morning Trail Guide Classes
Beginnings Class
When: 9 am on Sunday mornings beginning June 8
Leaders: Kat and Ryan Crouse
Location: Theater on Sunday mornings
Requirements: $5 for materials
Becoming a Christian is the beginning of your walk with God. Want to know how to begin growing in your spiritual walk? This six-week class will help you establish a foundation for the most important decision you will ever make. Topics include assurance of salvation, who is the Holy Spirit, basics of the Bible, purposes of the church, how to have a quiet time, why God allows us to deal with hard things, and understanding the will of God. Cost of materials is $5.
Disciplines Class
When: 9 am on Sunday mornings beginning June 1 and will run through mid-August

Location: Theater on Sunday mornings
Requirements: $20 for materials
Becoming a Christian is only the beginning of the journey with God. Just like any journey, sometimes you need to stop along the way to get your bearings, refuel, and rest. Rolling Hills offers a "Disciplines" class, focusing on the practice of spiritual disciplines like prayer, Bible Study, etc., as well as their importance in our everyday life as Christians. If you have known God for a while but sense you may be missing something in your pursuit of Him, or if you are newer to the journey and need to know where to start, the Disciplines Class is for you.
Discovery Class
When: 9 am on Sunday mornings for four weeks beginning June 8
Leaders: J.J. and Elaine Merrick
Location: Theater on Sunday mornings
Requirements: $10 for materials
The Discovery Class is for all those who want to know how God has gifted and shaped them for ministry. Through discussions and inventories, this class helps you discover your spiritual gifts, personal style, and God-given passion for serving in the body of Christ. You will also better understand God’s design for the church and your role within it; specifically here at Rolling Hills.
Good Sense Financial Class
When: 9 am on Sunday mornings for six weeks beginning June 8
Leaders: Thomas Hunter and Scott Meriwether
Location: Theater on Sunday mornings
Requirements: $15 for materials
Have you ever wondered what God thinks about money? Each semester we will offer financial Bible studies where you can learn what God has to say about how we spend money. Not only does this study show us many of the Scriptures related to money, but it gives practical money management skills.

This study will uncover biblical truths expressed in Titus 2 from the literature Apples of Gold by Betsy Huizenga. In addition to Bible study, we will have a guest cook followed by a meal relating to our weekly topic. This class offers a little of everything: recipes, good food, fun speakers, and nuggets from God's Word. Join us this summer as we strive to be women whose "words aptly spoken are like apples of gold in a setting of silver." Proverbs 25:11.
The Hard Life - A four week study for anyone

For a man with so much hope for the future, Joseph spent a good part of his life rejected, abandoned, and imprisoned. How did he endure the abuse, betrayal, disappointment and injustice so prevalent in his life? This four-week study takes a look at how the choices Joseph made helped him overcome every obstacle life threw at him.
Parenting Teens in Times like These
For parents of teens or those who want to get a jump start on what lies ahead!

Raising teens into healthy Christ-following adults is challenging enough and the world doesn't seem to be making it any easier. This summer, we'll be looking at 6 really crucial issues facing teens and parents today: communication, alcohol and drugs, the internet, sex, depression and media. How can we live in the world and not be of it? How can we protect students and set good boundaries all the while teaching them how to make wise choices all on their own? Nic and Susan Allen along with other parents and leaders will facilitate this parent forum where we'll talk about issues and uncover helpful truths together.
Resources from Jim Burns and James Dobson will help us dive in and deal with the most important call we have as believers, to disciple our kids!
Essentials of Discipline for Your Child
This is a DVD driven curriculum by Dr. James Dobson.

Essentials of Discipline tackles the subject of discipline in a way that only Dr. James Dobson can. Based on his time-tested best sellers, you know the content has substance, but this video seminar also includes animation and man-on-the-street interviews. Lessons from Dr. Dobson have never been this fun!

Uncommon: Compelled by God’s Call – A six week study for anyone

Uncommon is a study of God’s uncommon call to people of the Old Testament. It is also a study of God’s call in your life. When God calls, how will you react?

Beth Moore's Journey through the Psalms of Ascent - A seven week study
When: Wednesday nights @ 6:30 beginning June 18

This study takes a look at the pilgrimage theme found in Psalms 120-134 and explores the major feasts of Israel. For the ancient Israelites, pilgrimage was a three-times-per-year journey to the temple in Jerusalem; for New Testament believers all of life becomes a journey together toward the new Jerusalem.

This group will read and discuss Henry Nouen's in which the author describes his own spiritual growth in light of Rembrant's masterpiece about this famous parable. We will hopefully learn how to use works of art to enhance our knowledge and understanding of our own faith journeys, as outlined in this book.
