Learning Center

Welcome Families!

Rolling Hills Learning Center is a ministry of Rolling Hills Community Church for children ages 6 months to five years. Opening September 2010 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 am - noon. Our desire is to provide a quality preschool learning environment that is a loving, Christian atmosphere where children can grow and learn.

Mission Statement

The mission of Rolling Hills Learning Center is to offer families of the community a planned program of learning activities for young children, which encourages the growth of the whole child. The program will provide an environment which is safe, secure and nurturing, while teaching the Christian of trust, generosity, sharing, forgiveness, prayer, thankfulness, honesty, love, obedience and honoring God and parents.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22: 6

Curriculum

At Rolling Hills Learning Center, teachers use an age-appropriate curriculum focusing on various learning centers. The WEE LEARN series, published by LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, Tennessee, is a group center learning study. WEE LEARN connects hands-on activities based around play and experiential learning to help children learn about God, Christ and the things God has made. Different areas are set up throughout the classroom to teach, including: home living, books, art, nature, puzzles, science, cooking and writing. Other elements of the day include large group playtime, music time, large motor activities and a daily Bible story.
