Missions

Rolling Hills Community Church is a church that desires to impact the world for Jesus Christ. An integral component of our church is the Missions Ministry. Our Pastors and our Missions Ministry Team believe that Jesus' command for his disciples to "go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone" (Mark 16:15, NLT) is a command for us as well, and that the "world" and "everyone" Jesus is talking about refer to the three primary areas: our community, our nation, and our world. Our missions program is designed primarily to provide short-term opportunities for all of our church body to serve in each of these areas throughout the year.
While the needs of people here in Middle Tennessee remain a top priority, we believe we are global citizens. We have also begun training, supporting, and sending missionaries to serve around the world, and we have people on the field in Moldova and Ecuador right now. We pray constantly that God would call out workers from Rolling Hills to go wherever He is working. Click on any country below to see a short video of our recent trip there:
Mocha Club – What could $7 do in South Africa? – In Uganda, 63 children die each day from drinking unsanitary water. Here $7 = 2 mochas … In Uganda, $7 will give clean water to 7 people for a YEAR. So what could $7 do in South Africa? If you want to join the RHCC club, click the picture below and select the Rolling Hills Club.
Please join us as we seek to serve God in all that we do and everywhere we go. If you have questions or want to be part of a mission trip, email steve@rollinghillscommunity.org.

English as a Second Language – Do you speak English? If so, you have all the qualifications to be a great teacher for those in our community who are new to America and trying to learn. Every Tuesday night at the ThriftSmart on Nolensville Rd., we are helping to teach English as a Second Language Classes. ESL classes are casual and conversational, and a great chance to minister to our community. Also, we provide childcare, so there's a need for people to spend two hours playing with and teaching kids aged 2-12 years.
One of our Rolling Hills volunteers shared this, "There are so many great things about teaching ESL classes. I have made new friends, and I am always impressed with how hard the students are working to learn English. Some speak Spanish, some speak Arabic, some speak Swahili, and I only know English, but on Tuesday nights we really do connect as we talk and learn about each other and the English Language. I've found that it's a great way for me to use my gifts to help other individuals and to help our community as a whole."
